1. Right now - it's "What not to wear"
Although, the new male co-host is less catty; I like the other male co-host. As for Stacy, va, va voom!

2. aren't Monster House and Monster Garage . . .
on the Discovery Channel? . . . if you're including them here, I'd have to go with American Chopper, another DSC entry . . . I'm waiting to see which of those guys snaps first and kills the other . . . :)

13. My Mistake
TLC is a Discovery Channel affiliate, and I tend to get them confused. I think Animal Planet is another affiliate.

17. I don't like the new format
and even last year's hosts beat the new ones, especially that stupid Barbie doll. Why the hell did they hire the likes of her?

5. aren't they all the same goddamn show?
Edited on Wed Sep-10-03 01:26 PM by BigMcLargehuge
The only thing TLC has taught me lately is how to find OTHER non-fiction channels to watch.

As if the only thing that matters are:

Redecorating
Shopping for clothes

Add to it the all day excitement of:

A dating story
A wedding story
A baby story

I hate that channel now. It's crap...

My wife introduced me to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy this week and I now add Bravo to the list of channels not to watch. I know there are fans of this show here but I have to ask, why the hell do you want to watch television programs about SHOPPING FOR GODDAMN CLOTHES!!!!

I hate TLC, Discover (the Forensics channel) and Bravo, add to that all the cable news stations, all major networks, pay channels, religious crap channels (of which my cable provider LOVES to fill the band with), infomercial channels, crap music channels, and what the hell is left?

Cartoon network
Comedy Central
IFC
Discovery Wings
History
History International

In a perfect world I could get these six channels and NOTHING ELSE.

And for the record, the people who conceptualized, produce, star in, and appear on Trading Spaces should be rounded up and exiled.

8. I don't get Tech TV, but I do get G4
They dropped Tech TV or moved it to a different package. When I did have it, I liked it. G4 is okay too, the game channel, though I think it focuses too much attention on console games.

9. I traded Trading Spaces,
and What Not to Wear for Monster Garage, Monster House, and American Chopper. All have great male hosts, great metal art, and my husband resembles Paul Sr. on American Chopper, without quite so much attitude, but about as bossy! :P Testosterone Tuesday, yeah!!! :bounce:

12. I don't know what's on TLC.
I don't know what 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' would be on TLC. But I voted for that in honor of the best western movie ever.

15. I used to love Hometime
and I believe they ran Connections2 and Connections3. They also ran two of the best documentaries ever (though they were BBC productions)

The Day the Universe Changed
Connections

For now I think it's trading spaces...

Though watching that show gets expensive!

16. I Know.......
"Trading Spaces" keeps giving Mrs. CO Liberal ideas. In the past few weeks, I've reapinted the living room and the kitches (they're one big room), put down a new press-and stick tile floor in both room, relainted all the cabinets, and right now I'm redoing the countertops.

18. The forensic investigation show from Canada with Graham Greene
Edited on Wed Sep-10-03 11:57 PM by undisclosedlocation
Umm, I forget what TLC calls it. From the narration, it's obviously called Exhibit A on CBC.
