Human body parts in fridge spark fear of cannibal copycat
The Times
From Roger Boyes in Berlin

BERLIN was gripped by fears of copycat cannibalism yesterday after a man turned himself in to a police station and confessed to a gruesome murder.

He was charged with the killing of a music teacher, the son of a celebrated Berlin clergyman, after police raided his home and found the victim’s dismembered body.

Ralf Meyer, 41, walked into his local police station on Tuesday night and said calmly: “I have killed a man. Help me, there’s a man in my fridge.”

When police entered his apartment they found a bloody torso in the bedroom, its legs and arms having been hacked off and laid alongside.
The body had been gutted and internal organs placed in the fridge. Some had been wrapped in cling film.

1. "Help me! There's a man in my fridge!"
I think we've all been there...
