i need some advice from the blogosphere here. du is about as much as i know about the subject. but i am on the no child's behind left parent committee at my kids' school. we are supposed to assist and educate the parents. we are going to be doing some basic computer education. but i was wondering about putting up a blog. the school has a dead website. i am thinking about something that has a kid board and a teacher/parent board.the best would be one with some kind of built in translation. is there such a thing as a simultaneously translated message board? i think it would be very educational if posts were in more than one language, people would be able to pick up some language. help with the language barrier is the #1 problem that everyone wants addressed. comments?

1. Don't see how it'd work. |

You can use automated translation programs, but they suck. Or, I guess you could ask people to post in more than one language at the same time. Interesting problem.

2. i presume it would suck, but |

the self correcting nature of blogs being what it is, i think it would be interesting to see where the mistakes are. and we are talking about kids, who are great, and adults who are mostly just learning to e-mail, etc. big hurdle to get them started.
