News Flash From The 10/8/04 Presidential Debate |
|
9:32 PM Eastern - - - Flash!
A red-faced President George W. Bush stunned the crowd assembled in St. Paul Missouri tonight after a half hour of debate with the Democratic Nominee and Senator, John F. Kerry of Massachusetts. Responding to a suggestion by Senator that the nation may have been safer had the President not taken nearly a year of vacation during the first 3 years of his term in Office. Speaking out of turn the clearly agitated President said "Look, this is a tough job. Its hard work. If you think you can do a better job why don't you just step up and try it for a little bit? This is tough work I tell you and I've been doing it and you ain't" Silence hung over the room as the President's temper tantrum ended with him abruptly leaving the stage a half hour into the planned 90-minute debate. It is expected that the President's poll numbers will plummet in next week's round of surveys.

4. You know what would be amusing. . . |

If Bush actually said something like, "I'd like to see you try it!" in the middle of one of his Hard Work tantrums during the debate. I think the only problem for Kerry would be in choosing which way to verbally smack Bush around. The choices are limitless.
"I plan on it."
"That's why we're here, Mr. President."
"I'll keep that in mind when I start in January."
