Anyone else get too nervous to watch debates?

Well, I do watch them, but I'm sh-sh-shakin'. Sometimes I have to change the channel or turn it off to prevent a nervous breakdown.

I'm going to be out for the night, so I'm taping tonight's debate on C-SPAN. Hopefully by the time I get back I'll be calm enough to watch without going crazy.

thru 88, I only watched debates with a group. The co dem party in IA had one for each debate. That way we could all groan and cheer together.

I think I watched one Clinton town meeting one.

In 2000 and this year, I keep up by reading DU posts by those who can watch.

11. I am. I watch it here on DU and then watch it on C-Span if I can later. I

really get ill listening to W's voice and watching him shame us all with his cretinism.

But it's mostly that I just can't stand to see or hear B*sh. He just makes me nuts. So I'll mostly get the play-by-play from DU, and watch a little bit when the Chimpinator isn't talking. Unless, of course, you guys tell me he's totally stepping on his dick. Then I'll watch.

I've been watching Dems get stomped for 24 years, I can't bring myself to do it again. Mr. Nownow is watching, and I'm following the GD:04 debate threads -- my stomach can't take it anymore!

Sounds to me, judging from the Mr. and the GD:04 threads, unless Kerry has a stroke I won't be the least bit hesitant to go out and put the Kerry-Edwards sign in the yard tomorrow morning, though!
