2. But it is so much fun.

I was tickling her back feet. she was trying to watch the birds out the front door. We have a mockingbird that sits in the bush out front and fusses at our cats, which drives this one nuts.

3. Better Get That Looked At

Cat scratches can infect quickly. And cat bites are worse.

Several years ago on the day before Easter, I was assembling a new TV stand in our living room. One of our cats (Sweetpea, now passed over) was staring out the window at a bird - she was sitting on the next piece I needed. I went to move Sweetpea and she bit my left thumb. It hurt like hell - I washed it out as best I could, but it still hurt.

The next morning when I woke up, my thumb was swollen and there was a line running down my arm. I called my HMO's help line, and they told me to IMMEDIATELY go to the nearest urgent care center. So I spent Easter morning getting a shot, getting the wound cleaned out, and getting a prescription filled for antibiotics.

5. I cleaned it with peroxide.

and I made it bleed for about 5 minutes. it is clean.

She is picky about the back feet. plus we play the claw, she and I have done that since she was a kitten.

The first cat I had used to like to play the way kittens play with each other, the playful-fight thing. I would put my hand on his belly and sort of roll him around on his back; he would wrap his front paws around my arm, sink his teeth into my arm, and shred with his back paws.

Never have just oe cat - have two, so they can abuse each other.

12. A friend of mine has a new kitten

and that little thing thinks my fingers are a chew toy. any time I pick her up she chews on my fingers. She espcially likes my thumb.
