The Red Sox Are A Better Team Than The Yankees
Yes, I'm saying it right here, right now. This year's Red Sox are a better team than my favorite team, The New York Yankees. The Red Sox have better starting pitching. They have a better overall bullpen. Their hitting matches up to our hitting. They play better defense.

Yes, the Red Sox are indeed a better team, and they should win this year's ALCS.

You're doing the same plan that we did for Kerry against Bush, lowering his expectations.

14. Bubba Crosby...
role player off the bench...

Of course, Brown could pitch a no-hitter...not much chance of that though. The Sox are all monsters with the wood this year.

Yankees meet Curt Schilling. You met once before in 2001. Remember how that ended?

18. Schilling also had Johnson
Schilling is the only legit #1 starter; Pedro's arm is hanging by a thread.
Neither team's strength is pitching.

21. Pedro did pretty well in Game 2
His warranty reads "Six innings and/or 100 pitches. Manufacturer not responsible for catastrophes beyond this point."

23. The problem with Pedro is the manager leaving him in too long...
Pedro got burned a few times because the goddamn manager doesn't have the balls to yank him when he should...

Sox winning the Series and Kerry as President...don't pinch me, I'm dreaming...

25. This is true
But, from what I've seen of Francona this year, he ain't exactly quick with the hook w/ regards to Pedro either....

28. I think he's figured it out
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/041007

(Of course, when he left the game after the dramatic seventh -- when Eckstein and Figgins fouled off a combined 75 pitches -- players were hugging him and congratulating him outside of the dugout. My buddy Hench thought that the players were trying to make it clear to Francona that Pedro was done for the night, leading to a series of "Just to be safe, Ortiz and Millar are stripping off Pedro's clothes in the dugout" and "They're sneaking him out of the stadium in a cab before Francona reconsiders" jokes. All warranted, obviously.)

27. In The Head-to-Head Matchup Series
during the season, the Red Sox won 11 of 19. Thus, the Red Sox are indeed the better team.
