...and did it work?

I lost over 60 pounds just for one girl. It didn't work,
though.

5. I wrote a thirty or forty page autobiography and mailed it to her.
I think she was a little bit intrigued, maybe, but, I felt weird about it myself and was very very weak on the follow-up. I saw her a few years later, and she was very kind.

Looking back, the whole thing was absurd, but I learned about writing, which was a good thing.

It was almost thirty years ago. I'm not sure I'd know that woman if I ran into her on the street today. I do know my wife, who for the last twenty or so years has been the dream of my life.

6. Told them how I felt.
I swear, in just about every relationship in my life, admittedly not a lot at this point, I was the one who said, "I really like you here." or something along those lines, usually responded by, "Really? That's great." and a relationship ensued. (Maybe it's come easy for me to start something, but believe me, it doesn't mean my heart hasn't been broken a few times either.)

I think once I told someone how I felt and he felt uncomfortable because he used to date a close friend of mine, but it wasn't important enough for me to go to great lengths.

With this stuff, it's either there or it's not there chemistry-wise in a mutual way. No point in making huge efforts when someone doesn't feel the same way. Other the other side, if it is there, no point in arguing with yourself either. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. :)

It wasn't so ugly becuase he treated her very badly....

but I loved her, and having her was better than his friendship.

8. Left notes and confetti
In his car for months!!!!!!It worked. Eight years later and i still
slip him a love note now and again. There was something magical about
those shiny peices that let him know when he came out of work......his car was baptized with love just from me.
