What are your plans for tomorrow?
How do you plan to mark the anniversary?

Nothing much for me. I will likely say a few prayers for peace, our school might have a moment of silence, and of course I'll be watching TV to see what they have. Other than that, not much.

1. As terrible as this is:
I will probably send a fax to George Bush and Dick Cheney that says:

I know who you are and I know what you did!

4. I plan to return to (9/11/01) and
go into a complete depression.

I will probably watch as many specials as I can just so I can wallow in them.

I will cry.

I will pray.

I was so affected by 9/11/01 that I will try to do absolutely nothing else.

I might play my "Tribute to Heroes" DVD - remember the one with just music by various artists such as Bruce Springsteen, the Dixie Chicks, Wyclef John, Dave Matthews etc etc. Interspersed were actors such as Robert DeNiro, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jimmy Smits etc etc telling stories of various survivors and those who died. It was a telethon held on Friday, September 21 and so there were other celebrities simply answering phones such as Al Pacino, Jim Carrey, Goldie Hawn, etc etc. There were no commercials and no audiences. It came from New York, Hollywood and London. It's very hard to drag out, but I will tomorrow.

   :puke:

6. I'll probably get up
have a cup of tea, check my e-mail and DU, then have some breakfast. After that activity I will take a nap or read my book. I will probably have more tea, then take a walk, hang out at the bookstore, have a snack, come home, take another nap, then surf some, take another nap, watch some TV or play video games, then go to bed.

8. Flying to the East Coast
I'm on the redeye tonight from San Jose to Atlanta. Tomorrow AM from Atlanta to Baltimore. I just reflect on all the security that wasn't apparent in the airports two years ago and pray that it is working for a change.

9. Let's see. I'll go to work, have the beef stew special for lunch, then...
OMFG! Tomorrow's 9/11!!! I've got to do something!! Dagnabit, I must get off DU this instant and go buy a flag or something!

</sarcasm>

Seriously, the building is having a "remembrance" out back. We get to listen to a radio address from a Repuke governor (nasty grating vice-principal-esque voice too), and sing "some patriotic songs", no doubt including "Gawd Bless America" just like last year. This one is billed as "voluntary" but I am certain that Asscroft will be taking attendance...

10. I highly, HIGHLY recommend everyone watch the HBO special
I'm not sure if it's on...They have two of them. I believe the one I'm talking about is "9-11: In Memory" or something like that. It has a VIDEO that virtually NOBODY has seen before...a shot from directly underneath the trade center--probably 20 feet from the lobby...shows the plane plow straight into the building at unbelievable speed...the other videos don't give a true sense of the speed of the planes, but this one does...the plane is only on screen for about 2/32 of a second..but it is truly shocking to see
