Ken Caminiti is dead, too
NEW YORK -- Ken Caminiti, the 1996 National League MVP who later admitted using steroids during his major league career, died Sunday. He was 41.

Caminiti died of a heart attack in the Bronx, said his agent-lawyer Rick Licht. The city medical examiner's office said an autopsy would be performed Monday, spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said.

4. Pitcher for StL tonight reminded me of him a lot.
Knew it wasn't, but still. Kinda weird I'd think
of him before the story broke.

5. Crap....
He was a good 3rd baseman, and a good player.

He's had "drug problems" and was just back in court for violating his probation for failing a drug test. He was in rehab for Cocaine.

That shit will always get you in the end eventually.

7. I think the steroids probably weakened his heart
Not sure there is a direct drug connection, but another sad story. It's a sad night.
