His death surprised me more than Reeve's. I didn't know about his struggle with addiction until I saw the feature on him on ESPN today. I hope his death will reach some people out there who are also stuggling to stay clean. What a shame.

some years back and the three of them would party together during the offseason. Ken would take my brother to parties with major leaguers. Ken had a heart of gold but a substance problem that was huge and that went back a long way. He played hard and lived hard. His demons got the best of him, just like my brother. RIP slugger.
