1. The man lived a HARD life
Supremely talented but sadly also quite vulnerable to excess.

2. Absolutely. All that talent, killer looks....
what a waste. Always was a fan of his ball game.

6. R.I.P. Ken
His death surprised me more than Reeve's. I didn't know about his struggle with addiction until I saw the feature on him on ESPN today. I hope his death will reach some people out there who are also stuggling to stay clean. What a shame.

7. My brother and his cousin were roomamtes in San Jose
some years back and the three of them would party together during the offseason. Ken would take my brother to parties with major leaguers. Ken had a heart of gold but a substance problem that was huge and that went back a long way.
He played hard and lived hard. His demons got the best of him, just like my brother. RIP slugger.

12. Like Lyle Alzado
Steroids produce great short term accomplishments...but both men died at 41. Not worth it.
