1. uummmm . . . there's not enough facts in the article to make a reasoned
opinion. and is this straight? that a federal district court judge ruled in this manner? typically, the onion spoofs stuff.

if it's not a spoof, then I'd want to read the court's opinion b4 opining on it. heh.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

4. Mh. One of the photos looks familiar.
Whoever they used for 'Albert Cook', I've seen that face before. Either they put it in one of their articles before or it's some real person.

Other than that... well, it's good, but I've read funnier stuff from Onion.

7. I didn't mean the Onion article.
Edited on Mon Oct-11-04 05:01 AM by Arancaytar
I meant the Anonymous Lead form. Suspicious behavior: 'Homo, Liberal, Pacifist, Atheist'? This stinks of spoof, but it has the whitehouse.org url...

Edit:

Okay, I checked out the main site and the entire site must be a joke. What a relief. Can't believe how I arrived at the idea that whitehouse.org was the official WH site...?

9. I agree with interior designer Katherine Kane
First, they overturn one little clause, then they whittle away at the rest. Before you know it, our civil liberties will be totally restored.

Couldn't the founding fathers have predicted that just this sort of thing might happen? Were they blind to the possibility that a system of checks and balances might ultimately favor individual rights? Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think they knew all along. In fact, I think they actually wanted this type of thing to happen. Amazing!
