can't find any news story on it. She did have cancer of the colon, but is recovered now, as far as I know (the BBC are currently using her in a charity promo, and she looks healthy).

8. It looks like an old obituary they had prepared in case she died

from the cancer. Someone must have posted it by mistake. This: "Her XXX today of XXX was?" looks like a 'fill in the blanks' bit - 'death', 'expected/unexpected' etc.

"was set to host her own afternoon talk show" implies it was last updated before Sept 2003, which seems to have been when the show started.
