BELMONT — Police have charged a mother and father with assault after the mother repeatedly stabbed her 10-year-old son in the arm with a kitchen knife while the father held the boy on the floor. The mother is alleged to have been upset because the boy and his brother destroyed the woman’s favorite stuffed animal.

Police were called to the home by the child’s 13-year-old brother who ran out of the house with a cordless phone during the assault and called 911. The incident occurred Sept. 20.

Jacqueline Weiner, 36, of 46 Concord St., Belmont, was arrested and charged with second degree assault and simple assault for allegedly stabbing her son. In an arrest affidavit, police said that in addition to stabbing wounds they found welts on the young boy’s right temple and bites on his body including his wrist, shin, breast, leg and neck.

Her husband, Steven Weiner, 48, who is listed in the court affidavit as the stepfather of the child, was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal liability for conduct of another for allegedly holding the young boy on the floor while the stabbing occurred.

I've seen my almost 17 year old son ONCE since he was 11 because his damn father won't let me. Every time I see a young boy, I get misty. I feel like I've missed so much.

People don't know what they've got. People who don't want kids have them and do things like this to them. Those who desperately want them, can't have them.

Send that boy to me - I'd love him and care for him and he could play with my stuffed animals all he wanted.

KENOSHA, Wis. -- A foiled murder plot ended with the arrest of two Kenosha-area Navy members, police said.

Sunday morning, 31-year-old Rachel Wolf dialed 911 for help.

"Kenosha 911 what is your emergency?" the dispatcher asked.

"A woman came to my house, and she stabbed me in the back," Wolf said.

She gave police the license plate number of the woman who came to her Kenosha home and stabbed her.

Kenosha police said 26-year-old Kristen Warnakulasuriya (pictured, right) is a Naval reservist who confessed to having an affair with Wolf's husband, who is in the Navy stationed near Washington, D.C.

KENOSHA, Wis. -- A Kenosha man is behind bars after an argument about going to church went too far.

He's accused of stabbing his wife 16 times.

"I was really shocked. I didn't know what was going on, and I just couldn't believe it. My main concern was just to get the kids out of there," neighbor Melissa Tidwell said.

Police said the victim's husband put their three children in a closet before he allegedly stabbed his wife.

"The officers on scene said it was one of the bloodiest scenes they've seen in a long time. She lost so much blood," Kenosha Police Lt. John Morrissey said.

The couple's daughter somehow escaped from the closet and got to a phone, police said.

Police arrived to find the mother and the daughter both alive. The daughter had been stabbed in the head.

The 13-year-old has been released from the hospital. Her mother is still hospitalized, but police told 12 News she's expected to recover.
