how can you tell what program is using your soundcard? |
|
Now I can't play Air America because it says something's already using it. I can't figure it out. Help please.

1. How to find out depends on your operating system |
|
But the easiest way to remedy this would be to restart...unless the program that grabs your sound card starts up automatically.

Does this program-grab happen often or is a one-time thing? Lots of people have RealAudio in their startup...that might do it and there's usually no reason to have it running.
I think Start > Run > winconfig (or try msconfig) might get you there. Look for the STARTUP tab.
