He was a Revolutionary war hero who was Killed in battle in 1779.

Wonder why he dressed so funny....it's like he's from another country or something.

4. Actually, it's in March,
and it came about because the IL state legislature (which often more conservative than the Chicago area) had to "balance out" making M. L. King day an official holiday (that's why I like to call it "Political Compromise Day :7 )
