1. oh my god
I was waiting for a thread like this to be started. Desolation Row is by far his best work in terms of songwriting. People like Mr. Tambourine Man because of its thinly veiled drug referrences :P

3. Desolation Row does rock.
But I think Tambourine Man is beautifully written, too.

I've seen Dylan in concert 13 times and I never get tired of him.

5. Blowin' in the Wind
is what I voted for, it's the first song of his I heard as a kid that turned me on to his stuff, but the song that I was just listening to and really love is "When You Gonna Wake Up" off Slow Train Coming.

"Gangsters in power and law breakers making the rules, when u gonna wake up"

I LOVE the man and all his stuff, so it's hard for me to pick just one!!

6. It's Alright Ma I'm Only Bleeding
Best Dylan Song Ever.

Don't forget Gates Of Eden, It's All Over Now Baby Blue, and Idiot Wind. All great songs packed with dense imagery.

9. Hell yes.
Preachers preach of evil fates,
teachers teach that knowledge waits
Can lead to hundred dollar plates,
goodness hides behind its gates
But even the president of the United States
must sometimes have to stand naked

How true.

12. let us now bow our heads and be thankful for the gift of bob dylan
what would our culture be like without his presence?

i voted for "blood on the tracks."

but i love "changin of the guards" and "precious angel" as much as his more well known hits.

16. Blind Willie McTell.
Not really my favorite; I can't choose just one from the many, so I just added it for the variety!
