'Stros are going on, most likely, and y'all just gonna stay in Atlanta the rest of October!!!

WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!

GO 'STROS!!!!!!!!!!

I GOT MY CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE SITTIN' IN MY LAP, READY TO POP IT THE SECOND THAT THIRD OUT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE NINTH HAPPENS!!!

4. I'll Go For The BoSox for the A.L. n/t
sincerely, I'd like to see a 'Stros - Sox WS...would be really good. We long-suffering 'Stros fans know what it is to suffer for a long time, so I hope the Red Sox knock off the Yanks.

And if the Cardinals end up knocking off the 'Stros, I'll pull for the BoSox to take the WS.

3. I went to see the 'Stros play the Brewers during the last Milw. homestand
It was a Friday night, and me and a couple of friends went to Miller Park to see Clemons pitch. We managed to walk up and get seats four rows from the visitors dugout. Clemons is a freaking god. He is effortless. Pitched a great game but got a no-decision. The interesting thing was people were taking pictures of him everytime he poked his head out of the dugout. I was awfully impressed by the Houston lineup. Solid one through nine. A bonus was that they beat out the dreaded Cubs for the W/C. Sweet. I like Houston against all teams except the Bosox. They are my sentimental favorite. Good luck to your team. Feels great, doesn't it?

5. You Have NO IDEA How Great This Feels!!!
43 years of suffering, of never winning a post-season series...and looks like we will FINALLY, tonight...and what better team to do it against than the damned Braves, who have FRUSTRATED THE SNOT out of us for the last DECADE!!

And the best part is bringing the heartbreak to the damned Braves RIGHT IN THEIR OWN BACKYARD!!

Hey, Braves fans, take that "Tomohawk Chop" and stick it where the sun don't shine!!

You lose, we win, suck it up!!!

pbbbbbbbbbbbbblllllllllllllllllttttttttttttttt!!!!!

in the dome, watching the Astros choke in that 13 inning game. I've watched the Astros choke in every series since.

FINALLY! I just hauled my bottle of Bombay Sapphire out of the freezer for this.

Thank you again Boston for sending us Jeff Bagwell for Larry Anderson and a six pack.

16. I have mixed feelings about this series
On the one hand, I hate the Astros almost as much as the Cardinals because I am a Cubs fan.

On the other hand, the Braves would get creamed in an NLCS with the Cards (which is the team I hate more than any in the NL). The 'Stros, on the other hand seemed to have Stl's number at the end of the season (plus Stl's incredibly overachieving pitching staff will get worn out in a 7 game series).

The only redeeming quality for these playoffs for me is that the Cardinals or the Astros will be CREAMED in the World Series by either AL team.

26. LOL! Tell that to a Cubs fan
Your franchise has only been around 30-odd years. We've been suffering almost a century.

And despite what you may say, the Cubs always finish in the basement (until last year)... not the 'Stros. They made the playoffs every year in the 90's it seemed like.

38. I've lived in both places
The cubs fans do suffer more, I'll grant you that, but at least they have a history....What do the fans in Houston have as far as history?

Giant Mosquiitos carrying off players while they played as the Colt 45s?

Judge Roy's giant neon wacky saloon, stabin cabin, and scoreboard?

Uniforms that induced people to wear sunglasses indoors?

Their best pitcher in decades having a stroke on the mound?

Nope, the only thing Astros fans ever had was ONE game.

ONE FUCKING GAME in 1986 to have warm fuzzy memories about.

21. How Far Behind the Cards Did the Astros Finish This year?
The Braves were a very weak team this year from a weak division. The Cards will roll over Houston in four games. I hope Roger Clemens loses two

They play 167 games and not 162. After tonight's game I added it up for this year and it held up again. Someone should look into this.

but they sure as hell can't play in the post season:evilgrin:

They should be forced to change there names to the "Chokes" so they can honor all the great teams that blew it in the post season.
