My thoughts are if the Sox wanna win, they got to take at least one from the Yanks the first two games, and take at least two of three back at Fenway and of course from there win all the games after that.

2. Yankees are thought of being underdogs...
...but what many "experts" don't account for is that Games 6 and 7 are being played @ Yankee Stadium.
Ask any Sox fan if they want to be playing decisive games there. I doubt you'll get an honest answer though.

sorry, but y'all are fucked
Pedro and Schill will take the Sox back to Fenway up 2-0... It may not get back to the Bronx.

7. Yankees need only to take one from Schilling or Pedro
To be in good position.
Remember, as long as the Yankees keep the game close, then the later innings HEAVILY favor the Yankees. I don't think I need to bring up specific incidents to highlight this fact

3. How the hell does the division winner become an underdog
especially one that set offensive records for themselves and won a 100 games. I have to admit it's brilliant to lower the expectations for the Yankees and higher them for the Red Sox though.

6. Every analysis I have seen for the ALCS says the Sox are favored
Why this is I do not know.
The Sox won the year's series 11-8, but a closer look at the record reveals that 1)the Yankees were swept early in the year when their offense had yet to gel and 2) that the Yankees won WHEN IT COUNTED MOST.
Even then, most ignore the big "C".......

8. It just makes no sense to me
Yes the Sox won the series but the yanks won teh division, set offensive records for themselves at least I read that somewhere. Orioles beat the sox on paper in the season too, why couldn't we have done that to everyone!, ahh I ain't crying, 78-84 and third place is better than anything Mike Hargrove did, I guess Hargrove was like Albert Hell Belle, did great stuff for Cleveland but when push came to shove he sucked ass for us. Wonder what Grover is doing now. Maz kicks ass though.

9. Sox scored more runs than the Yankees
Somehow, people just think the Sox are locked to win this year
The actual statistics that matter- OBP, BA, etc- are exactly equal against one another. That's why I said they are mirror teams, except it will be in the intangibles that perhaps decide the series.

10. Its gonna get to game 6 or 7 IMO
Sox have the better ERA by a half of run but that means nothing. Isn't it amazing that a low 4 ERA used to be high for a club or a guy and now its low or middle of the road.
