What things do you do that make you feel young again?
I'm only 28, so I guess these make me feel YOUNGER. :-)

Mine

1. Celeb crushes - even keep a list of 30 big crushes with 10 honorable mentions. I've made three changes lately: Claire Danes, Hilarie Burton, and Kaley Cuoco (after seeing her on Ellen today she's bubbly without being the airhead her character is - my mom says she reminds her of her when she was younger) are in the top 30, while I had to put Mandy Bruno (soap actress,) Elisha Cuthbert, and Amy Acker in honorable mentions.

2. Watch some of those timeless cartoons (Flintstones, Bugs Bunny, etc.)

3. Sometimes I go through old toys/pictures out of nostalgia

4. Listen to some bubblegum pop music, like Hilary Duff's latest which I'm surprised I like after her first one. Trying to make myself not like it isn't going to work. Also still like Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth and a few Britney Spears songs (really am not a fan, though.)

1. I watch young girls
as often as possible. Young as in 18-22. Not like babies.

I don't know what I would do with one if I caught one, but it does fuel my fantasy world.

2. When my bod feels like
I never had cancer-when I can't feel what got done to it-when I can't feel the numb parts are numb-hard to explain, but it's what makes me feel young again

3. I have a baby girl.
Just walking through Toy's r' Us with her makes feel like a kid again. Just sitting down and playing with her reminds me of playing with my cousins. I'm a guy, but all the cousins my age were girls.

4. I'm 50 years old
and I constantly feel young. I look forward to every tomorrow. One should not try to feel young, one should prepare to be the best they can be as the years pass, because you have no choice. A little hint for 20 and 30 somethings - physical fitness!! and mental fitness!! Work on maintenance now; right now. The years fly by.

I have discovered in my "advanced" years, one saying which is very, very true - YOUTH IS WASTED ON THE YOUNG.

5. Oh I agree - you shouldn't look back too much
But I do think having a feeling of youth is important, even if you try something.

I used to live in Maryland, but it looks like I'm doomed to suffer being a Philly sports fan for life. I became a Philly sports fan at a time when allegiances really seap in (teenage years.) I hope you can get that pizza - btw, thanks for the pizza recommendation. :hi:

8. This is my way...
Good motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one
hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out
and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!"

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the
moments that take our breath away.

10. 1) Video games 2) Gumbo
Whenever I long for my childhood home, there are two things I can do:

I put-in an old Mario or Zelda game and play for hours on-end. I swear, I'm going to be playing those games well into my retirement years.

Second (but not necessarily second in my heart..), I make a pot of gumbo. My mom makes the world's best gumbo, and she finally gave me her special recipe last week. On Friday night, I had a small group of friends over to watch the debate, and we all enjoyed the gumbo. Soooo good.. I've eaten my weight in leftover gumbo in the past 3 days.. :)

13. Playing on the playground.
Fortunately, I have young children so at least I'm not too weird, but it's fun to swing, slide, and run around. In fact, I'd much rather be the kind of hands-on mommy who's there playing with my children, than the other kind that sit along the sidelines (barely) watching their children while gossiping about various people and ridiculous reality TV, but hey, that's just me.

23. Play bass in a rock band
But it doesn't work any more-- I feel especially old when I see all the young twerps I'm sharing the stage with.

Got a break last week; we opened for Nik Turner and Space Seeds. Nik Turner was a founding member of Hawkwind, a truly weird and fearless space-rock band that got started in about 1969, and today Turner's a genial hippie burnout playing the same music! So *he* made me feel young, which persisted until I had to lug my 4x12" speaker cabinet up the stairs...
