... but, it limits the options. He could be a Pan, but he has no sense of humor. :P

Hmm, he could be a dry-drunk version of Bacchus, but that would require a tendency to bacchanalian abandon, which doesn't quite fit with Bush's faux piety.

So, finally, it's a toss-up that he's one of the Erynies (those that pursue wrongdoers relentlessly), or Thanatos, the god of death....
