1. The league championship series always start in primetime.
They started doing it that way a few years back in order to maximize advertising money.

2. So is it just the finals that are so late?
I just want as many people as possible to watch the debate

3. Since the beginning of time, they have started at 8:19 on Fox since 96
Before that, the games are always at night.Especially the LCS series,New York-Boston is rankings boom. When NBC,ABC and CBS did the LCS and WS,the games started at night or if they had two games on the same day,the other game would start at 4.

7. Before time began
when I was a young lad in the olden days back in the 60's and before, World Series games were played during weekdays. I guess that's why we call them the good old days.

4. If I were King of Baseball
All playoff games would be during the day

The designated hitter rule would be relegated to a museum

All fields would be made of natural turf

There would be no domed stadiums

Holidays would be declared in citys where playoff games were held so fans could bring their children to enjoy America's Pasttime, and have them home before the sun went down.

5. You'd have to start at noon on the East Coast.
Sunset in October is at six PM.

6. And so it will be throughout the land
Nine inning games will end before the sun goes down, wherever such games are played. We'll bend the rules for extra inning games.
