They started doing it that way a few years back in order to maximize advertising money.

Before that,the games are always at night.Especially the LCS series,New York-Boston is rankings boom.When NBC,ABC and CBS did the LCS and WS,the games started at night or if they had two games on the same day,the other game would start at 4.

when I was a young lad in the olden days back in the 60's and before, World Series games were played during weekdays. I guess that's why we call them the good old days.

I seem to remember a 83 WS game between the Phillies-Orioles and a 84 WS Tigers-Padres game in the afternoon.That might have been the last afternoon WS game

All playoff games would be during the day
The designated hitter rule would be relegated to a museum
All fields would be made of natural turf
There would be no domed stadiums
Holidays would be declared in citys where playoff games were held so fans could bring their children to enjoy America's Pasttime, and have them home before the sun went down.
