Einstein ( my cat) peed on me TWICE on the way to the VET! |
|
Happy to say nothing serious. He has 2 abcessed teeth that created an infection in his nose and eyes. He will take antibiotics for 2 weeks then we have his teeth out. $500 later he will be fine ...hopefully for another 16 years!

5. He probably knew he was going to the vet |
|
My sister's vet told her to keep her cat carrier out in the open with the door open and some of the cat's toys inside it. She considers it part of the furniture, so she doesn't get upset when she has to be taken somewhere!

You need to put him in a small crate with a soft towel in the bottom next time you take him to the vet. Saves you, and you wash the towel.

13. I realize that, but it's really better for your baby to be in a crate. |
|
I understand the feeling of wanting to express your love for him, but he needs to feel secure. And, BTW, he's NOT secure in your car out of a crate! If you were involved in an accident, it could be disastrous for your kitty.

7. Cats pee on you, or in a noticeable area when they want to get your... |

...attention. When they have urinary tract infections they do this to show you something is wrong. Your cat was probably upset knowing something unpleasant (a visit to the vet) was on the horizon, and wanted to let you know he knew he felt something was wrong.
Glad to hear he's going to be ok!!!

14. My cat does that on every trip to the vet |
|
She's an indoor cat, so I think the crate, the outdoors, and the car ride scares the pee right out of her.
