3. GO YANKEES!!!!!
I'm hoping for a perfect game.... Curt Chilling's "Bill O'Reailly"-like comment before the game about SHutting Up Yankee Stadium was the perfect starting point for us. Now he can shut himself up and watch the rest of the game from the bench.

5. How did the Yankees score all those runs?
I'm not watching the game because of our in-house boycott of local Sinclair affiliate.

12. Matsui has 4 rbi.
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 08:55 PM by speedoo
One in the first, a brilliant one handed dump into short left, which Manny the dope played into a double. Bernie then singled him in.

In the third, Matsui doubled with the bases loaded to drive in 3, and then he came in on a sac fly.

Meanwhile Mussina has looked great.

25. 7-0
lofton hit a hanging knuckler by wakefield.

wakefield was supposed to pitch game 4, even though he is a knuckler and can pitch every day, i wonder if francona is planning on trying to bring back schilling for game 4, since he only threw 60 pitches tonight, and hope is ankle is better by then.

62. let's have a "nice try" clap for the Red Sox . . .
um . . . what's the sound of one hand clapping? . . .

seriously, that was a great comeback attempt by the Sawx . . . this is going to be a series where neither team will be out of it no matter what the score is until they've gone through every last one of the outs allotted them . . . should make for some great baseball . . .

Yanks up 1-0 is a good start, though . . . let's see if they can make it 2-0 tomorrow . . . after all, they're Pedro's daddies! . . . (hey, he said it, not me) . . . :)
