Dear God, I will make sure prisoners have their tv's
if you would be so kind as to take the computers out of the rubber rooms in the state mental institutions.

1. LOL!
It's a fuckin' conspiratard free-for-all in GDF, eh?

What's a shame is that some of the people I used to think highly of are the ones being the most aggressive and hostile.

8. Yeah, conspiracies never happen, ever. Open paper bag, insert head.

Maybe you don't consciously realize it but your use of the word "conspiratard" is also aggressive and hostile, btw.

9. Come on Wonk we all know they happen
and you know I am not anti-conspiracy theories entirely....but when people desperately grab at anything they can google...then I think there is a conspiracy...just not the one they think is happening.

12. Yup
HA! And he must not have seen the other thread, in which a DUer called me out, demanded an apology for my assertion, was wrong, and told me fuck you twice. Oh, but I am being aggressive and hostile...pity pity.

C'mon Wonk. I won't even begin a discussion of relativism here...

14. Saw it, gave it a brief scan, went to the next thread.
Some DUers had less impulse control and kept kicking it back to the top over and over and over again, though

15. Oh I have controlled my impulses for over six months on the...
candidate bashing threads...have even begged my fellow DUers to cease and desist for party sake. But it went too far for me tonight.

Telling lies about Dems I can't pass up. You can't pass up one word you find offensive.

So we both pick our own fights and they may be different, but as LaMont told Fred, "You're you, and I'm me, and we are different. That's why I love you, Pop."

:-)

11. It's not only aggressive and hostile,
it is actually plagiarized from another DUer; ergo, I guess I should feel thrice as guilty.

I didn't say there are no such things as conspiracies, but some of them presented about Kerry border on ridiculous. JMO, Wonk.

2. I want to step outside and see if there is a full moon tonight
considering what I've read in GD since I sat down here tonight, but it's stormin' like a sombitch here.

At the very least, it looks like some should have their meds adjusted before posting on GD.

5. Well...
I was only half kidding when I said that. I do believe the moon has some kind of effect on people's behavior.

Years ago I worked the graveyard shift at a hospital. Not to be confused with a psych ward - this was the orthopedic unit and all ages. Anyway, those of us on the graveyard shift noticed that more often than not all hell would break loose, from A to Z, for one reason or another during a full moon. Oh, I could tell you some stories. (Like a guy calling 911 on me and told the police I was holding him hostage .... LOL!)

When you think about it - if the moon can affect large bodies of water like the tides of the ocean, just think about what it can do to the fluids in your brain? :tinfoilhat:

6. Oh I am a stark raving fool when I am outside on a fully moonlit night...
Nothing better than standing around a campfire, drinking some cold delicious nectar of the gods, having verbal jousts with my good friends who THINK they know more than me. wink wink

19. I dunno ...
if we are reading the same things. But I can't decide whether some things are being promoted because of some sincerely and deeply held altruistic belief, albeit promoted by nefarious means, or because of some true desire (or need) for disruption or sabotage.

Or, perhaps, back to my original thought - a need for a medication adjustment. (And I don't mean that as a derogatory swipe either.) It's just really hard for me to decide for myself what the motivations are behind otherwise intelligent people making such absurd and ridiculous stretches to further a personal agenda.

20. Oh yes! I know!
Orthopedic floors get more emergency room admissions - during a full moon. We were quite familiar with each other's staff. Went to breakfast sometimes ...

An admission I did with a HUGE, HUGE guy still in handcuffs comes to mind ....

16. I have started avoiding P&C altogether
and I don't like seeing candidate stuff in GD. I think all the candidate bashing has seeped an ugly hostility everywhere. I've had to use my ignore list for the first time. It's sad that this campaign has reduced many of us to just attacking each other.
