Mustang v. Charger- the Bullitt car chase
Best damned car chase EVER.

Followed by:

The French Connection
To Live And Die In LA
Ronin
The Bourne Supremacy

All others pale in comparison.

Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 10:52 PM by frylock
when those dudes in the Charger strap their seat belts on, like they're getting down to business. My dad had a '69 RT when I was a kid. Damn that was a bitchin' ride!

2. The funniest part is when
they pass the same green VW Bug 5 different times.

3. Best "sounding" car chase, too.
It's also great to see San Francisco at its 60's best(and not very crowded either!).

4. Ain't that the truth.
Ain't no sound like that of an old muscle car going flat-out. Smokin' tires, shakin' rear ends, and the squeal of rubber on pavement. No car today can imitate that. A real pity.

15. You mean "The Italian JOB"?
Both the original and the remake had excellent car chases. (Love those Minis!)

Both Bourne movies had great chases as well.

I haven't seen the remake yet, but I remember the original being a lot of fun.

8. Hello... BOURNE IDENTITY!!!
(maybe you meant to write that instead of "Bourne Supremacy", which is the sequel).

I'm sorry, but there's is something so intangibally BITCHIN' about that car chase.

Maybe it was http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004376/|Franka Potente> riding shotgun... :wow:

13. That chase was excellent as well
But it didn't strike me as superior to the Bourne Identity's chase scene through Paris. I'd say they're equal (but that may be because I've seen Identity more recently than Supermacy).

To say that the Paris chase "pales in comparison" to any of those is ridiculous.

10. ok, but the best damned boat chase scene was
on one of my cutters, with a projector, we ran a 20 minute (or at least it felt that long) boat chase scene in Battle of the Godfathers backwards.
