Senior Sara Maytorena stepped up and produced 23 kills, 15 digs and a .328 hitting percentage to help lift the University of Wyoming women’s volleyball team to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over South Dakota State Tuesday night in the MultiPurpose Gym.

The Cowgirls and Jackrabbits traded wins in the five-game set with Wyoming winning the first (30-21), third (33-31) and deciding fifth games (15-10), while South Dakota State came out on top in the second (30-28) and fourth games (30-25).
