What did you use for "show and tell" in grade school?
I used satellite pictures of America, with Florida uncovered by clouds so it would be easier to recognize. My dad was an Air Force meteorologist and this was back in the 60's. Always made the stuff my classmates brought in look purty lame. :D

3. The first calculator
It was exotic then. It was bigger than your computer and more expensive. The first calculators could add, subtract, multiply and divide. The manufacturer couldn't meet demand.

6. I wanted to show a live starfish
I was at Larrabee State Park in Washington, this beautiful rocky beach on Puget Sound. I took home one of the many purple starfishes that line the rocks, I kept it in a jar of tap water, so I could show it at "show and tell" the next day.

That night I cried myself to sleep realizing I had killed a living creature.
