CD I made wont play in my '99 Mazda Protege CD player...WHY? What can I do |
|
What can I do so that my homemade CDs will play in my Mazda factory CD player in my Protege?
Any ideas on how I can solve this problem?

I have the same problem with my older cd players - they don't play burned cds.

2. There's plenty of reasons. Here's what worked for me. |
|
Does your homemade CD contain more than 74 minutes of music?
Car CD players seem to have trouble if you max out the storage space on a home-burned audio CD.

9. Do your homemade CDs play anywhere else? |
|
And by "anywhere else" I mean another CD player, not the CD-ROM drive in a computer. Computers are more forgiving.
If they won't play anywhere else, look in the manual for your CD-burning software.
If they will play, you obviously have a defective car and need a better one. Accords are good.

10. When you burned the disc...did you burn it as an mp3 |
|
or as a regular CD? If it's an mp3, the player in your car may be too old to know how to read that format.
