I flew in an F-15 once...
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 07:40 PM by Catch22Dem
It was an F-15D when I was at Kadena AB, Okinawa. I was Airman of the Year for my squadron (eat that shit freeper lurkers)

Anyway, it was one of the most incredible, mind-numbing experiences of my life. That pilot put me through the ringer! I felt like I had the shit beat out of me when we were done. It's the top one (562) in the picture.

Just felt like sharing that.

ON EDIT: That's the plane I flew in, but that's not me in it in this picture. I don't have any of my pics scanned. My ride was in 1998.

2. Congrats to you! Few ever get the chance!
That's an awsome plane, and I'd give anything to have the experience you had!

3. The only incentive flight I ever did was sit in the back of a C-141
I stopped in Kadena, hopping back to Osan from Clark back in '87.

Nice base. Met a nice cutie at the club too.

4. Somewhere on Gate2 Street, I assume.
 I had a buddy stationed at Clark, but I can't remember what he did. When I knew him, he was an F-15 Avionics guy like me, but I think he might have been an SP first.

10. I really don't know that much about Kadena. I was only there for one nite

I had to get to the air terminal by 0700.

I almost missed my flight. If I didn't catch it, I would've been fucked.

I hate you. But in a petty, stupid, jealous way.

7. I flew a T-38 once.
In the simulator, that is. :-)

My Scoutmaster was a Pilot Instructor Trainer, and he got us all 15 minutes in the simulator. A blast for us 13 year-old kids.

9. Wow. I bet that was a real thrill. I had the opportunity
to fly a C-130 once, but just straight and level flight for a while across the Atlantic.

12. I took one down to Clark from Osan
Laid up by the wing and felt the nice vibrations.

By the time I go to the PI, I was feeling no pain
