Recommended power supply? |
|
My other one died. :-(
Antec has a low-end model (450W, $80) and a TruePower (430W, $120).
Which one should I get?
Thanks!

translates into lower operating temperature.
But you probably don't need more than 300 watts, unless you're running six hard drives.

2. Antec is pretty damn good. |
|
They are cheaper because they sell more. Economies of scale.

4. Go with the TruePower. |
|
Its output is the same as its rating, whereas a regular power supply puts out 20-25% less than rated.

5. A power supply is a power supply |

If you're spinning 16 drives, think about the more powerful one.
Hell it's cheaper. Get the Antec anyway.
