Anyone see a UFO over Ft. Lauderdale on Sat. night?

Without trying to venture into Art Bell territory here, I was at an outdoor show in downtown Ft. Lauderdale (Social Distortion) Saturday Oct. 9. (For the record, I was probably the only person there who was NOT smoking weed or even drinking! I had to drive home after all!) The sky was partly cloudly, but for the most part clear. At approx. 8 PM when the second band (Tiger Army) was playing, I look up to the West and saw what I thought was one of many airplane since Ft.
Lauderdale/Hollywood Intl. is only a few miles away and the flight paths coming from the west seems to fit its patern. Then it struck me that this object was far too high up to be landing, if it was headed to FTL. Also, if it had just took off, it would have been coming FROM the airport, not going TOWARDS it. Then, it makes a dead stop, and goes exactly back the way it came. I have never seen anything even close to this before. If I had to guess on its altitude, I would say
it was around 20,000 to 30,000 feet. (I have no idea on altitudes, but I think it was too high for a hellicopter, so I seriously doubt it was one.) It was a somewhat dull, white with a hint of gray color ball, for lack of a better description. Also, it was moving slower than any airplane or any other air craft I've seen. I've never seen a UFO or little green men (or women for that matter) before, but this has been kinda buggin' me for the last few days. Anyone?
