A. Um. It's a Web site. There are 53,000 people here. That will continue to include the two of us. However, eyesroll gets custody of the earworms, much to her chagrin.

But, while we're on the subject -- We will likely be posting on each other's threads until such time as DU collapses into itself. Don't expect the obnoxious banter to end, just because the marriage did. We love you all very dearly (except for most of you, whom we can't stand), and there will be none of the taking-of-sides bullshit or any of that. We do, however, encourage inappropriate humor and copycatting. Who knows? Maybe we'll let a poll decide things, instead of expensive lawyers.

Q: I'm having a party. Which one of you should I invite?
A. Whomever you want. We're grown-ups. If you want to invite us both, invite us both (OK, maybe a couples-only intimate dinner party isn't the best venue for that particular arrangement). But a big barbecue or something? We'll figure it out on our own.

While it was painful at the time, my divorce ultimately was the best thing that happened to me as a human being. Not as a potential spouse to somebody else -- before that happened, I was able to do a lot for myself as a human being, for the first time in a long time not as a member of a marriage. I don't hold a grudge against my ex, we still communicate from time to time. It's kind of sad when it doesn't work out, but sometimes it's best.
