2. I know what you mean.....

I'm in SoCal too and it's a perfect day for opening the windows and doors.

In addition to the barking dog, we've got "saw man." Our neighbors have had loads of work being done on their house in the past few months, and today the guy has his power saw fired up again. It goes on and on until finally, I have to shut my doors and windows.

Edit - oh yeah, and for a few weeks there, we had a pack of coyotes (sounded like some young ones) that would howl every time police or ambulance sirens would go off. Very eerie, especially in the middle of the day. Of course, that would set all the dogs off.

3. I'ts a perfect smokey day in Northern California

Orange and red sun, purple skies, and plenty of barking dogs.

in Pittsburgh, the grey day capital of the Northeast...( or Seattle East without the water and trees) :)

4. the one thing I miss, being in SoCal

is thunderstorms. Good old Biblical level thunderstorms, the ones we had in Alabama.

It's just so damned mild here.
