6. Chef's Restaurant in Buffalo
is a very old Buffalo establishment, a true Italian restaurant run by the same family for almost 60 years. They have a killer Veal Parmigiana.
I go out of my way when I am up north to get a visit in there.

10. Bennigan's -- Monte Cristo Sandwich
So very, very bad for you.

So very, very tasty.

This sandwich is stacked with ham, turkey, and Swiss and American cheeses on wheat bread, then battered and fried ’til golden. Dusted with powdered sugar.

They give you raspberry jam to dip it in, but honey mustard sauce goes much better in my opinion.

16. Holy crap! That could cause an instant cardiac episode, but
it sure as hell looks tasty. Hold the sugar and jam. Give me the mustard and keep your fingers out of the way :)

26. It's Heaven.
I can barely finish half of it. It's good to share with a friend. You can't take it home and reheat it... it gets slimy if you try.

18. The Naam! (Dragon Bowl)
Edited on Thu Oct-14-04 01:46 PM by SnowGoose
From their website:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
The Naam is a very busy vegetarian full-service restaurant located in the heart of Vancouver’s Kitsilano district. It is the city’s oldest natural foods restaurant, with over 30 years of cooking tradition. The Naam is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We close only on Christmas day.

The Naam is "funky"--wooden tables, an old wooden floor, and casual decor. In the winter we burn through about six cords of wood in our fireplace. In the summer we have a beautiful enclosed (or open as weather permits) garden patio--an extremely popular place on warm balmy evenings. We have live music every night from 7-10 pm - mostly blues, folk and jazz.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything I've had there rocks, but given a choice, you'd probably want to try one of the Dragon Bowls.

On edit: Seva in Ann Arbor is pretty outstanding as well (Veggie Ruben with yam fries).
