1. OMG!!! How terrible for the dogs! How unhealthy for them!
I was worried that my cocker spaniel was overweight until my vet told me about a 40-lb. dachshund he had seen! These poor things! I no longer feel so bad about my little guy having gained over two pounds. He is perfectly capable of running and going up and down steps. Whoever fed these dogs too much should be very ashamed!:-(

4. One can only imagine...
what the owners of these dogs look like. Fat-ass, super-sizing, fry-gorging pigs no doubt!

6. If that post was meant...
to fill me with regret for my condemnation of people that over-consume then you are sadly mistaken. Barring those obese people that suffer from medical issues, I am justified in my disgust for those that consume more than they need to and it is analogous,IMHO, with the jackasses that drive humvees and use more oil than they need to. These fast-food junkies ARE a danger to our planet, supporting organizations that have no qualms clear-cutting a life-sustaining forest to produce that next happy meal. You, my friend, have been deconstructed!

7. They don't hurt anyone but themselves...
Unlike you who hurt people with your words. That's one of the rudest things I've ever heard...A danger to our planet. That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. God, you and your fucked up logic...Good bye...I don't tolerate closed minded rude people like yourself..

Ever been a fat/skinny war on DU before? I see them all the time other places.

If it starts for real, I'll just watch this time.

(Making popcorn now.)

10. throwing gasoline on the fire
I'm one of those people who can eat forever and lose weight although lately I've put on a few middle-age pounds.

However, I was on an anti-depressant that caused me to gain 30 pounds. It was outrageous. I couldn't stop eating. The pills had turned off my "stomach full" signal.

11. Gotta love thos DU rules...
Confront someone about bigotted statements, and your condemnation gets deleted, but the bigotted statements remain!

The AMOUNT eaten has far less to do with being overweight as the types of food eaten, the amount of excercise that person gets, and the type of metabolism that person has.

So claiming that fat people are "a danger to our planet" is both stupid and bigotted. To extend that bigotry to assume that ONLY fat people would have fat dogs is insulting and WRONG.

12. Yes, it is bigoted to target fat people and to assume that people are
obese because their dogs are. My beloved cocker spaniel, Sheena, was significantly overweight. She went from 26 lbs, to 49 lbs. in the first two years I had her. Medical tests determined that she suffered from Cushing's Syndrome or hyperadrenocorticism, which leads to weight gain. I am 5' 5 1/2'' and weigh 115 lbs. Sheena's weight gain wes caused by her hyper condition and I treated her using both medication and diet, per her vet. The owners of these dogs should be chastized for not consulting veterinarians, if they have not, but they aren't necessarily, themselves, overweight.
