Poll question: Who's your favorite Stooge? (Iggy and the Stooges that is) |
|
Two birds with one stone -- a copycat thread, and also a call for all Stooges fans to stand up and be counted.
I like lots of Iggy's solo stuff, and I guess you could say he was the heart of the Stooges, but his solo stuff hasn't been nearly as seminal and influential as the records the Stooges made in the early '70s.

1. Saw Iggy in NY one time... |
|
where Bowie played keyboards for his band and Blondie was the backup band. It so cool how bowie would not let his fame steal the show. He never acknowledged the audience. It was Iggy's show and Iggy rocked. At one point Debra Harry came on stage with him. I can't remember the song.

2. Of COURSE Iggy's gonna win this one. So I gave my sympathy vote... |

...to Scott "Rock Action" Asheton.
After all, he played in one of the finest "super-groups" of all time, Sonic's Rendezvous Band -- Sonic Smith on lead and vox, Scott Morgan (from The Rationals) on guitar, Gary Rasmussen (from The Up) on bass, and Asheton beating the skins.
