2. That would be kind of interesting |

To see it from the dark side!
And that show needs a kick in the ass if you know what I mean.

...playing the Repug. I think he would endeavor to show the true spirit of meanness and nastiness they posess in their wretched souls. I don't think we would get the "compassionate conservative" out of Alda, who is someone who definetly knows there's no such thing.

Democrat in the White House come January, perhaps they think they should have a fictional conservative in the fictional WH.
Personally, I will probably stop watching it if the cast changes. (The softness of the writing since Sorkin's departure has become apparent, IMO. It's still one of the best things on TV -- surely on network TV -- but it's not the same.)

5. Good call NYCGirl, we basically said the same thing! |

The emotion is missing, and there is too much action without substance anymore.

4. I think the only way it will happen is with a Kerry presidency |
|
They shaped Bartlet as the "ideal" democratic president and might try to do the same for a republican if there is a change in the white house. Personally I think it would be especially interesting to see how they cast the "ideal" republican especially in the face of the Bush administration. I would however most likely stop watching the program, I just connect so well with the cast and the issues. The earlier episodes were much better, but I still enjoy the show. I remember watching episodes and being so happy at the end of the episode, so proud of how wonderful america could be with a president like that in the white house.

7. Now what would that be? |
|
"What we've tried to put forward in the Bartlet administration is a Democratic presidency that was a bit of wish-fulfillment of what you'd really want your Democratic president to be.
"I don't think there's any reason you wouldn't want to see that show with a Republican."
What a chilling thought! A country where a republic administration could make every wish come true. What do you suppose some of those wishes would be? If they could have anything they wanted?

When Sorkin left, it was all over. He was just too freakin' good.
Sorry. It was my favorite show for 4 years. :(

The last episode should be the inauguration of the new President, of whatever party. I like the current cast.
