Why are both Bush and Kerry wearing white shirts for these debates? |
I was going to post this on GD2004 but they hate me over there and I would probably be called stupid and an idiot and told to "stop smoking the curtains" (hee, hee). But I would really like to know what has changed from the days when blue shirts were the thing to wear on TV. Is the color better, the lighting or is it better makeup? :-)

3. It's the fact that there IS color... |
you were supposed to wear a blue shirt on television back in the Sixties, when most televisions were black and white, because blue looked white and white looked a sort of dirty grey. Not necessary anymore.

4. Looks better on TV with the suit. |
You'll notice also that they like to wear blue shirts w/ no tie or jacket for campaign appearances. Makes them look more like an "average joe".
