What a small, strange world.
I was covering court in my small little town today. And one guy who was "defending" himself on a Drunk Driving charge was talking about how a person who was with him could work as a witness. Turns out this "Witness" is a guy I went to high school with (300 kms away) and have known since age 11. He was a little punk then and appears he is one now.

As well, my BOSS'S son was up on interfering with a police officer. I was sitting beside his Mom, (my boss) and as the crown prosecutor read what he said to the cop, which was "You're fucking pig, I'll kick your pig ass!" before engaging in a "Greek wrestling" match with the officer, she looked at me and began laughing.

Man, my folks would never laugh at that.

1. Mine would not have come to court
Unless he (my mom died when I was young so I'm talking my dad) was testifying against me.

3. Wow heheh
Actually, it is. When I was stationed in Sellia Marina, Italy, we had a new Boatswains Mate show up at the LORAN station (not important) - his wife looked really familiar to me. Turned out that she was my upstairs neighbor from (I lived on the 13th, she on the 14th) from a housing project I had lived in in New York City, 12 years earlier.

4. oooh! my dad would have kicked MY ass
then had a good snick about in chambers with the judge, justice or magistrate, which would have been, no doubt, someone he knew.
