Seriously. I was one the highway, and tried to get close enough to see what the smaller fish symbolized - couldn't. But it was clear that the bigger fish was a Jesus-fish, and it was clearly eating a smaller fish.

I find that...regrettable.

And yes, I think you're right that some folks put the yellow ribbon sideways to mimic the Jesus-fish.

I have seen them, but I had no idea wtf they were. I thought they were some sort of code or something - I have seen some cars with these stick figure freepresentations of kids and pets all the way across the back window.
