2. Miami will catch up and win
Too much talent, if Louisville does win it will be by a narrow margin.

9. I hope Miami Loses
I'm watching the Cards-Astros.

Astros just tied it at 4 in the 7th.

I just took a quick peek at the Miami game. 2:13 left in the 4th.
38-34 Louisville.

You Beat me to it! Too bad, I was pulling for the Cardinals. I really have no stake in the game but everybody loves an underdog!

17. I wanted Louisville to win
Brian Brohm... major hottie. Plus wanted the favored team to get beat in their own stadium. I don't know if you heard afterwards, but Brock Berlin thanked God for the victory. Apparently God was behind the comeback.

19. I love these cocky halftime threads
Saw a near identical one on Sunday at a different newsgroup, from a Seattle Seahawk fan touting their 24-7 lead over the Rams. That didn't quite hold up either.

Yeah, keep kicking to Jesse Hester. Brilliant. The best open field runner on any level of football even if almost no one has heard of him. I attended the Miami/Louisiana Tech game in September and Hester returned two punts for TDs, one 50+ yards and one 90+. On both returns, he literally had no blocking and should have gotten zilch.

My Canes are down this year, inevitable after losing 6 first round picks and 20 in four years. But the same great attitude and resiliency, as demonstrated again tonight. And what other program could be anywhere close to this level -- undefeated and in the top 5 -- after dropping that much talent, including so many juniors who leave early? Even Canes haters have to admit is's unbelievably special.

Miami has one of these types of games each season... But they win....

Dislike Miami all you want but they've been the best college football team for the last 20 years....

23. I Live
In Louisville,it was a incredible game and was huge for our rising football program,of course i am sad that we lost but there is a happiness in the fact that Louisville played very well.

Mark my words you are looking at the start of a program that is only gonna get better and be a big name in football just like we are in basketball.

In many pre-season basketball mags we are ranked number 1#
our Athletic director is one of the best in the country and has done tons for our school in his short time here.

24. I'm surprised Louisville scored so many points
on Miami's defense.

Watch out for the Orangemen this basketball season!
I wish Billy Edelin (spell?) would be playing but it doesn't look good for him at this time.

26. Which magazines were you reading that
ranked Loservi... I mean Louisville #1 in basketball? ;-) Seriously though, who ranked U of L #1?

The Cards will sink or swim in football once they get to the Big East. Playing teams with winning records will be quite a change for them.
