22. The Mormons are scary |
|
they were started by a con man named Joesph Smith who had tried before to start his own cult. Now, to be a member, you have to give a percentage of your income to the church. It is like a 'mormon tax'. It is one of the biggest frauds in this country today.

"Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it, religion has actually convinced people that there's an INVISIBLE MAN...LIVING IN THE SKY...who watches every thing you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten special things that he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry for ever and ever 'til the end of time...but he loves you."

Thisnk about it. It's based on some rules that were written on these solid gold tablets that were given to, is it John Smith? He heads out West with his followers and then loses the fuckin' tablets? How the hell do you do that? They're GOLD for Pete's sake!

Yeah, let's bow down to some invisible man in the sky who just so happens to be giving you orders through a surrogate on earth. Right.

I find especially comical the belief that they become a God after they die and get to create and preside over their own little universe. Hilarious.

Don't know the official name but they are extreme fundies found mostly in the deep south. The basic idea is you have to handle a rattler or a moccasin to show your "faith".
