2. Cuervo is fake tequila |

Have yourself something 100%! You'll feel much better in the morning.
Herradura Reposado is my usual. And you won't need any training wheels like lime or salt either.

price of tequilla skyrocketed a couple years ago - it IS coming down now a bit though. I'd rather do a couple of shots of good stuff and follow with cheap beer than drink the other though. Just me - enjoy!
Are you near the border? I am and all my life we went to Mexico to buy booze. It wasn't until last year when the mother of a good friend (both German) and MASTER SHOPPER ( - makes arabs cry when bargaining - Mexicans never stood a chance) discovered the duty-free shops near the border in Texas. I said nah we don't have those in Arizona...well of course there it was: "Ueta" and the tequila (and other stuff) was MUCH cheaper than across the line! Not as much choice but they had my Herradura.
Silvia, I salute you, you are the QUEEN!

6. I would just ask the guys at the crossing. |
|
Here's more proof its the cheapest - everybody from the Mexican side buys there too. You do have to take what you buy across into Mexico and then bring it back as your 1 liter (Arizona rules) per adult quota. But if you are planning to stay down there for a few days buy more or for gifts if you know people. Of course beer is always cheaper here, but somehow its worth it to buy there. Its just part of the fun.
