I just sold a $74.50 concert ticket for $20, and I couldn't be happier.
I had an extra ticket to see R.E.M. next week (front row, baby!) and I offered to give it to a cute girl who volunteers at the office where I work. Normally I'd feel ripped off, but I think fifty bucks is a small price to pay to take a hot girl to a cool concert.

"How about twenty bucks, and then you can buy me dinner sometime.", I said, trying to stay low-key while grinning like an idiot on the inside...

"Deal.", she said. And she smiled.

Zippadeedooda, zippadeeyay, my oh my what a wonderful day.......:) :) :) :)

3. I'm glad there's a good story behind it.....
.... I thought you were holding a Michael Bolton ticket, and just unloading it for what you could get out of it once you realize what you had done....

:P

4. I don't think there's a single person alive
who'd pay $74.50 to see Michael Bolton. I assumed he had been relegated to singing at Grand Openings of new Target stores and appearing on "I Love The 90's".

6. I saw them last night and the night before and they were FANTASTIC
You're gonna have suuuuch a good time. I saw them at the Greek Theater in LA on Wed., and last night in Santa Barbara at the County Bowl.

7. What was their set like?
Did they dig up some of their classic Reagan-era political songs? If they play "Welcome to the Occupation", "Cuyahoga", or "Ignoreland" I'll die happy.

9. Played both Occupation and Cuyahoga! AND Exhuming McCarthy!
Their set had no backdrop so it looked sparse, but the visual impact came from long, thin, hanging vertical light tubes that changed color.

Since a pic is worth a thousand words, here are two. The first is one Wed. night at the Greek Theatre in LA, the second is from Thurs night at the Santa Barbara County Bowl.
