I got a free round trip ticket. Where should I go?
Took a bump on my way home today and got a free round trip. Anywhere in the US that USAir flies (assuming) they're still flying. I'm in DC. Have pretty much covered the East Coast. Love hiking, skiing, and pretty much anything outdoors. Suggest away. . .

9. The joke about Seattle weather is
it is either raining, just about to rain, or just finished raining.

Maybe San Diego? :9

4. How's about the San Francisco Bay area?
Or, better yet, real Northern California. Do some hiking in the Redwoods - nothing better!

I'm in Santa Barbara, and that's nice too. Funny, if I had a free ticket I'd go to D.C.

7. Michigan's upper peninsula
If you love the outdoors, this is the place to go, because they have LOTS of it. Marquette Co., Keewenaw, Gogebic, and Ontanagon Counties are gorgeous. The trees, the waterfalls, the lake Superior shoreline, the wildlife. They've got it all. If you like snow, then you'll love it even more, because they get about 15-20 feet every year.

14. New England is very beautiful this time of year.
The smaller hiking trails such as the Midstate Trail, Metacomet-Monadonock Trail are worth checking out.

15. New Orleans
Party in the French Quarter and go fishing in a bayou. Take a streetcar to Audubon Zoo and return downtown via riverboat to go to the aquarium and IMAX. Eat REALLY delicious creole/Cajun seafood before going out for music and dance. If you can schedule the flight for early February, come to Mardi Gras!

16. I'd probably check out Santa Fe...
I've heard it's a beautiful city. It's not far from Taos, which also sounds lovely, and is supposed to be great ski-wise. I've always wanted to visit Chaco Canyon, too...

Enjoy your ticket! :D
