I'm going to try this suggestion, and see if I don't feel better:

21. All the lonely people . . .

I was always lonely even though I always had a girlfriend or two around to keep busy, but it was at a late age (38) that I finally found someone to really love and now I am not lonely. But I know how it feels, it is a real killer. The best thing is to get involved with politics, or a reading group, or take a class, etc -- that way you are forced to be with people. You can always take consolation in the fact that the people who aren't lonely have other problems which are just as disheartening.

I'm better than I was a few days ago, but I understand. It's hard sometimes-- trying to do the right thing for everyone and inside thinking, "What about me? Do my feelings count for anything with anyone? Ever?" I hear you.
