all the time. Today I got snubbed by the guy who came to repair my sink (true story). People have just gotten rude--it is part of life.

3. I can't say I was snubbed, but at an Indy Media film screening |
|
I was standing around with some people and one of them said something about, "....except for that gentleman with the Kerry button, whose politics are to the right of everyone else here." I didn't take it too seriously though. In fact I rather enjoyed being to the right of everyone else instead of to the left of them. It has actually never happened to me before. And unlike wingnuts, they don't beat you up or try to get you fired.

I like to go after people with Nader buttons at the annual Labor Day picnic here and eat them for lunch. Narf!

5. No, I've never gotten snubbed at a left function |
|
But I did get royally snubbed at a party a friend invited me to. It was kind of an Asheville arsty-music clique, and they snubbed my b/f and I because we have never been to Bali.
People would say stuff like, "Oh my gawd... you havvvee to go to Bali. Check out these minidisc recording I made there." But they weren't beng fun and inviting, they were cold and condenscending.
So I asked one of them if she had a recording of a gamelan, and she said, "What's that?"
