Him and Willie Nelson made some great music.
I guess in all genres there are some greats that made such good songs that no matter what type of music you liked, you still liked their music.
Johnny Cash is definitely one of them. Al Green is another. I think Marvin Gaye is also up there.
I've taken some friends of mine in the Marine Corps and they were real head bangers, loved only speed metal and the like....they listened to the sweet soul sounds of Al Green in my car and they borrowed the CD....Johnny Cash has the same affect.
