And I'm not going to breathe a word until the results are in, except to say: from your mouth to God's ear. Let it be so.

Dog Experiences Best Day of His Life for 400th Consecutive Day

SANTEE, CA—Family dog Loki experienced the best day of his life for the 400th straight day Monday, the black Labrador retriever reported. "I got to go outside! I got to sniff the bush!" Loki said, wagging excitedly. "I saw a squirrel and I barked at it and it ran up the tree! Then I came back inside, and the smoky-smelling tall man let me have a little piece of bacon and then I drank from the toilet!" Loki will experience the best day of his life once again tomorrow, when he digs a hole, chews on a slipper, and almost catches his tail.

73. did you write that?
very clever.
I like verse that doesn't use lots of symbolism that I can't interpret.

I don't know of any celebrity babies, so that's off the list.

I only own three pair of shoes, none of them particularly new, though the most-recent was a pair of dress shoes that were long overdue for purchasing. Fortunately for me, I don't often have to wear them. Apart from that I have the requisite "athletic" shoes for wearing when there is snow on the ground, or it's otherwise to cold (almost impossible) for the preferred flip-flops (or slaps as I like to call them, 'cause they make a slapping sound at each step.)

I don't follow any low-carb diets, so that's off the list. I am taking up fasting one day per week. I think from noon Monday till 18:00 Tuesday will be the one (30 hour) day. I did this week, except it was from about 3:00 AM Monday till noonish on Tuesday. Maybe being hungry for a short period of time will help focus my empathy for others who are hungry both more frequently and for longer periods of time.

I thought of voting absentee this year, but have decided to vote early at the local election office (begins Monday in my state.) I don't worry that Mr Kerry will lose a fair elecetion, but I do worry about rampant election fraud. I haven't decided what I will do in that case. I have two kitties who can't fend for themselves, so taking to the streets in armed or unarmed insurrection seems a dubious option.
Or is that just a cop-out on my part? Sometimes I do try to find self-justifications for taking the easy way out of a difficult situation.

I like cooking with onions moreso than shallots. :D

your turn.

72. Just got in and signed on DU
been out doing massages at a college special event - 5 minutes on table each student -
I started at 9 pm and finished at 11:30 pm worked straight for about 2 hours of it - and I was paid for it by Special Events company that was hired to do this

then broke down the table and put it in the car

came back and

had ice cream too
and they had a tarot card reader so I went and did that
and they had a place to decorate hats - plastic ones with some mardi gras type masks and beads - I was surprized how many were doing it - so I did that too

My big Friday night - it was fun
